Blue Moon

31 December 2009 Blue Moon with partial lunar eclipse

So I just found out that a blue moon will happen this year on August 31st.  A blue moon according to Britannica is "the second full moon in a calender month."  This rare event happens roughly once every 33 months.  I'm kinda excited about this!
